Game Downloads: Mr. Pants 2000 & 2001

Posted on January 1st, 2001 by Alastair Craig

Pinch the Pants and WIN $20!In the early 21st century, the letters page of videogame developer Rare Ltd festered into a bizarre online culture. mascot “Mr. Pants” became the face of this great social movement (an unfortuante side-effect of which being this very website).

But this badly-drawn survey man inspired far better things than the occasional dubious animated GIF.  Loyal fan Chris Allcock crafted a fiercely addictive series of games, singlehandedly rejuvenating the fledgling stick-man-dodging-falling-items-to-stolen-music genre. He now works at Rare himself, so clearly he did something right.

The Rubber Chicken is delighted to host these two national treasures for you, the bright-eyed hopefuls of tomorrow.  Enjoy.
